what is Reckoning LARP?
Reckoning is an immersive, fantasy LARP (Live Action Role Play) set in a land called The March where political strife and monstrous evils plague the diverse cultures.
What is LARP?
Live Action Role Playing (or L.A.R.P.) is a form of interactive storytelling where participants physically act out the roles of their characters in a fictional setting, often guided by rules and objectives. Players use costumes, props, and improvisation to immerse themselves in a shared storytelling experience.
The March
The March is the vast continent where Reckoning unfolds. For as long as history has been recorded, two cultures have called it home: the Rivlans and the Vadurkin. In recent years, however, new arrivals have reshaped the land's destiny. From the distant South, beyond the Dragon’s Maw, came the Hadrians, while the Suzak-Mar journeyed across the treacherous Sea of Storms from their now-forsaken homeland in the East.
Yet, alongside these newcomers, darker forces have begun to stir, threatening the very fabric of the March. Orcs, once dismissed as creatures of myth, now gather in numbers never before seen, united under the jagged crown of the fearsome King Droog. Meanwhile, in the shadowed depths of the Iron Hills, the Undead rise from their graves, vanishing into places long-lost to time and memory.
The March stands on the brink of chaos, its fate uncertain as these sinister powers grow ever stronger.

Gabby J. [Gwyn Brightleaf]
Social Club President
Gabrielle, or Gabby, attended the first Reckoning in 2021 as her very first LARP and she fell in love with the hobby. LARPing has taught her so much about herself and has given her a community she has not felt since she was young. She was born into the Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus. Her mother sold souvenirs and her father was the first person to do a back-flip on a bike and motorcycle! The circus was Gabby's first home, going town to town on trains, surrounded by performers and animals and all kinds of cool folk. And, since the age of 8 when her family settled down in Arizona, she has missed it so...that community of freaks and geeks, queerdos and different, immigrants, just folks of all different backgrounds working to make the most fun seem possible, the most extravagant seem probable, wanting to make the world's greatest show. But she has found it again now, with her original LARP, Reckoning, her favorite Bico Guild, The Pelt, and her LARPing friends all over!
In game, Gwyn Brightleaf is sister to Owyn Brightleaf, old Bailiff of Whitehurst of the Rivlans (although he has since defected to the Vadurkin and otherwise been out-of-contact, she fears the worst!). She came with him to celebrate the one-year Treaty of The March, glad to see all of the Cultures coming together in peace. I mean...she had already been in peace, being tucked away in a farm away from war, and having placed her wiley and spirited son, Lyam Brightleaf, with his grandfather elsewhere, for training and growth!

Introducing Vice President Joel Hardcastle, Grand Vizier of the Suzak-Mar and NPC genius.
Joel’s favorite Reckoning memory? Walking barefoot through active combat carrying a stack of Little Cazon’s Hadrian Cheese Bread draped in red velvet to the Suk-Mar camp. I have a lot of really good memories though, which is why I’m still here.
