Zero Tolerance Harassment Policy
Harassment is a term that is used by different people in different ways. We at Longleaf Adventures are under the assumption that everyone is generally familiar with harassment, knows that nobody wants to be harassed, and will not engage in harassment. That being said, the specific definition of harassment we use is:
Harassment is a course of conduct which annoys, threatens, intimidates, alarms, or puts a person in fear of their safety. Harassment is unwanted, unwelcome, and uninvited behavior that demeans, threatens, or offends the victim to a point that it results in a hostile environment for the victim. Harassing behavior may include, but is not limited to, epithets, derogatory comments or slurs and lewd propositions, assault, impeding or blocking movement, offensive touching or any physical interference with normal movement, and visual insults, such as derogatory posters or cartoons.
This means that, as previously explained, we at Longleaf Adventures expect that none of our players of RECKONING shall, for any reason, make unrequested or harassing statements or sexual/physical advances toward anyone.
Certain behaviors that you may experience from other players may potentially be unkind but do not rise to the level of harassment as we define it.
If you feel that think that you are being harassed in accordance with our definition, please contact us through our official complaint e-mail using the following guidelines:
We prefer to get any complaints of harassment from the person being harassed. While we support our players helping each other go through the uncomfortable process of advocating for themselves and filing a complaint, we also want to make sure we are not getting diluted information.
Please provide as much specific information as possible, including names, dates, locations, and you are encouraged to provide screenshots, if any. These complaints will be reviewed privately, securely, and the information will be kept confidential.
AT THE GAME: Please find any of our staff to make a complaint, and please be prepared with as much information as you can provide. You do not have to wait to complain about any events that happen at the game; we would like to know about those as soon as possible.
There is and has always been a zero tolerance policy for this behavior before, during, or after the RECKONING event. This means that we reserve the right to reprimand, suspend, or ban any player from our event, without recourse. That being said, we generally support giving everyone the opportunity to explain themselves.
We have instituted this so that all complaints will be treated with care and to ensure that all participants have an enjoyable and safe experience.
